Chicago street renamed for Blues legend
Blues great Buddy Guy received a belated birthday present from the city of Chicago earlier this month that nearly brought him to tears.
Just one week after the legend celebrated his 75th birthday, the city renamed the street in from of Guy’s club, Legends, “Buddy Guy Way.”
The ceremony included Chicago Alderman Bob Fioretti read a proclamation from Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Afterward, the crowd sang “Happy Birthday” as Guy received a copy of the street sign.
